I had a recent traumatic event two days ago, one I hope to never experience again. But as I get older, and the one's close to me do as well, I probably will. These thoughts came to me in the aftermath. With the big game hunting seasons starting in many areas stay safe, stay warm, hug the one's you love, and cherish the memories....in the end it's all we'll have. π¦
A Hunter’s
Prayer
Dear
Lord, although it may be hard
For
some to understand
We
thank you for the opportunityTo hunt this great land
Hunting traditions are as old as the mountains
We
hunt to provide for our families
Bless us with good aim, but most of all
A
bonus enjoying all of nature’s harmonies
Bless us with good aim, but most of all
Bless
the quarry we hope to claim
Keep
us safe and in Your care
As
we add to memories we hold dear
And
if by some fate we don’t return home
Guide
our souls to greater glories known.
π
Dedicated
to my friend and hunting partner Ken Cline
Who
passed doing what he loved best.
