Take Me Away

Take me away from all this confusion

To a simpler place with truth and vision.

Sweep me up in waters of cleansing

Wash away all this dirt and deceiving.

Clear my eyes from clouds of darkness

To see the sunshine of Your brightness.

Help me to have strength and courage

In a world weak and hard to manage.

Guide me from the noise and blasphemy

Bring me to the sounds of peace and harmony.

Help me to conquer all this divisiveness around me

As you bring others in Your glory to see.

I know the evil forces fight a losing battle

Give me courage to grab their cage and rattle.

Make all my days shine in the brightness of Your light

Give me strength to hold fast in a lonely night.

I pray oh Lord that this be not such a lonely fight

For I know the angels have me in their sight.

But what I need most at times is encouragement

From those that You have before and after sent.

I have days like today where I am weak and tired

Help me rise above and be inspired.

For in the end I will give You all the glory

For without You I have a tarnished story.

Bless me as You have done throughout my life

And help me put an end to all this wicked strife.
Take me away to the place I've dreamed since birth
To live in and experience, Heaven on Earth.
