Lord, light the path to take
Lead me thru the bristles
And deliver me to the river
Lord, chase away the demons
That torment and tear at my soul
Free me to do your holy will
Lord, give me wings of an eagle
So I can soar high in Your glory
And pierce the darkened clouds
Lord, may I be a servant of Your pleasure
To serve and to honor the Father
And may my actions bring smile and favor
Lord, all I ask is that You guide me
And teach me Your holy ways
In this way to reach out to others
Lord, help me to do Your commands the best I can
As the winds of change blow outside in Your honor
For one day soon I know I will be by Your side.
