Reverend Church:

It was my sincere pleasure to meet you Thursday evening at the stadium after the National Day of Prayer Celebration (which was outstanding !)

It pained me to watch as you waited so patiently for your closing remarks as the “revivalists” had their say. Your words after the wait were some of the most graceful I have ever heard. You offered Gods’ Grace as a gift to those left in attendance. Well sir that grace is carried most eloquently by you. You are a shining example of how it works “magic” in ones life.

I am writing this correspondence to you because I sense a powerful movement in your ministry. Unlike shouting the good news our Lord has to offer as some choose to, yours is a whisper, a touch, a look that says, “Here I am, you have sought me, now walk with me.” I am so, so glad I had the privilege of shaking your hand Thursday night. The Lord works in His own ways to bring those together in life that He feels will help glorify His name and at the same time enrich the individual soul by the meeting of two spirits.

When we worship and witness together as a “team” the message is much stronger. I have always been an “individualist”. Even when I am with a group I seek out minutes in the day to be alone with my Lord. It is in these moments, such as now, 5:00AM Friday morning, that the Holy Ghost moving in the Spirit feels most close to me. Unfettered with the clutter of the day you can concentrate, open your mind, enhance your senses, and receive the “gift” the Spirit offers.

You offered us Gods’ gift of Grace Thursday night. You proved how that grace forms your movements, your words and your wisdom. Well sir I accept your offer and thank you for it. In return I offer you the continued gift of the Spirit, to strengthen you and your ministry in ways you thought not possible.

There were many wonderful performances and prayers Thursday night at the stadium. All of which were heartfelt, sincere, and worthy of deliverance. One that stands out to me was Bishop Arthur T. Jones’ (APIC) prayer that was so powerful in word and tone I thought the speakers were going to fly apart. Wow, what power God grants those who seek it and once found develop it and share it in return for His Glory and the education and enrichment of others.

I’m sure you’ve heard the old saying “save the best for last.” Well the best and most close to God in Holiness was the last to speak Thursday night. I am so happy and touched I was there to hear your words.

Where I was angry at the “revivalists” for making you wait, you were patient in your wait and gracious once given the chance to speak. That in itself was a strong witness for Christ that very few picked up on….but I did, and I thank you from the top of my heart and the bottom of my soul for it.

I look forward to our next meeting and discussions on “strategic ministry.”
