Two Shadows

We have two shadows you and I
One by day and one by night
We have two shadows you and I
One in the sun light, one in the moon light

We have two shadows you and I
One in Gods Light, one in mans light
We have two shadows you and I
One we see day and night, the other, the way others see

Two shadows, grey and black
Sometimes more if lights abound
Shadows dance all thru our minds
Which one to pick is the ultimate trick

Two shadows can merge as one
When our shadows merge as one
Will it be Godly, or manly?
Shadow by God, mystery to man

Deception plays games on the eyes of man
No place however in the Lords Hand
Go with confidence, a solitary shadow
Deep and dark to some, giving and bright to others

We have two shadows each and every one
Strive for the shadow that is most dim in the sun
For at its peak this shadow will run long
And a sign to the wicked will one day come

They will have but one chance to abide
And if not the ghostly shadow will glide by
They will not see, and it will not be given
Their souls will rot in the dark shadow they covet

Be you rich or poor, wise or ignorant, healthy or sick
Shadows will come, and it is not always the brightest light
Which casts a beam, but the natural light to be seen
That in all of us resides, and thru all of us it beams

Power over all on earth we have been given
But the sun, moon, and stars in Heaven
Are the Lords domain, His shadow is cast
Both night and day, and it will always remain.

Which shadow you choose is solely up to you
Once chosen the shadows merge as one, and there is no turning back
We have two shadows you and I
One we keep to ourselves, the other we are judged
I and many others have chosen the Lords shadow to follow
For His shadow is cast further than any, and His brightness eternal
Walk toward the Son and your shadow will follow to Heaven
Turn your back and your shadow will lead you to hell.

Some have two shadows as we once did
They decide their fate before Heavens Gate
It doesn’t need to be said, they already know
It will then be to late, they’ll pay for all their hate

Where are these men who do wicked evil things?
Come out of hiding and receive your pain
All alone or all together you will be hunted
And your burning soul will not be quenched by any rain

For we were once sheep and in your eyes remain
But as wolves we are mighty in the Lords rein
The tables are turned, good has come, it doesn’t search long
It knows already which side your on

So to battle we go, on a bright sunny day
With storms of darkness before and after
Even as now is calm and peaceful
While miles away the storm swirls the water

The winds are increasing and will tear down
What is not already wasted by floods and fire
Where are these wicked ones who walk with backs turned?
They glorify the earthly and shun the Heavenly

They deceive and recruit the purest of hearts
To do their bidding cause they have no pity
Guilty or innocent they do not care
For these transgressions they might be forgiven

But to shun the Heavens and worship the heathen
This will not be forgotten or forgiven
Their souls will burn and burn and burn
While the peaceful march and drink from the Lords urn

Do not boast and do not cry, all will be done in due time
Be a silent shadow lest your enemies see you coming
And once in their presence let loose with all your fury
And in Gods name we will all make history

History that is already written and already told
But even with all the signs, the truth may still turn
Be careful as you walk in days to come
Chose your path wisely, one leads up the other down

Even though it may seem smooth and flat now
It is a flat plane with two turns in the distance
One with earthly riches and meddling minds
A hint of rain and a small cloud overhangs

One with Heavenly gardens and a gentle mist rising
With understanding and a colored bow arching the sky
You chose your own path, one cries the other laughs
One is spiteful and hateful, the other grateful and humble

One a brief moment in time, the other life everlasting
One concrete and steel, the other trees and flowers
If left to chose, which would you walk
The path of man, or the path of God

The path of hardness and cruelty
Or the path of gentleness and love
When looked upon in such a light the choice is easy
Make the right choice, a hint for you I’ll give

Notice how one path turns left, and the other right
These turns are a point of no looking back
However, once there you can make the turn and stop
Please, please at this point stop no matter which path you took

At this turn, left or right, stop and check your shadow
Is it in front of you or in back of you
After the turn if your shadow is in back, continue on
This is the Lords path, follow His Light

If your shadow is in front then the Light is at your back
It is not to late to turn back, and take the other path
But continue down this path much more your shadow will cease
And in total darkness you will come to the valley of death.

Chose wisely one path leads to death, the other to Heavens Majesty
The gates are always open and He welcomes your return
As sheep we are lost to the wilderness, the mercy of wolves
As men we are part of the wilderness to herd the sheep

We have two shadows you and I
One shadow is earthly, one shadow is Heavenly
These shadows merge as one as we live our lives
Which one is dominant you decide

There is no denying, the facts are in
Thru His Grace we are saved
In His image we are formed
To ignore this is foolish and ignorant

If you do not believe me, that’s OK
But do me a favor just once in your life
Look to the sky, erase your mind
Forget your worries and all this crime

Try to get as close as you can to a neutral state
With no worries, no cares, no pain, and no shame
Look to the sky and erase your mind for just a few moments
And ask yourself these two most important questions

Am I alone, is this all there is to my life?
No matter your stature in another mans light
Stay humble and breath the fresh air
Look around, your shadow you’ll see

It is always with you, even in darkness
Like a rainbows promise, it will never leave you
It will always be there until the day you pass this earth
Then you will not need a shadow, your soul is transparent

And the Light of the Lord will shine thru you like a beacon
A beacon to attract others to his Holy Light
Where no darkness lives, and no shadows exist
Only the Glory of streets of gold and a gentle mist rising.

We have two shadows you and I
Your shadow and my shadow cast upon the ground
In His promises we can make them soon as one
Then you’ll know in Heaven, we were all first found.
