My Oh My...

My heart pounds the beat of my spirit.
My mind swirls with thoughts from my soul.
My eyes see sights once distant and hidden.
My ears hear sounds I know no one else senses.
My nose smells the stench of death all around.
My hands clasp the dry earth in a humble prayer.
My tears fall in a vain effort to wash away the blood.
My arms stretch out to gather in the good.
My feet stomp out the heathens and the bad.
My Lord has no patience for injustice anymore.
My Lord is a loving God with a jealous heart.
My Lord is a merciful God with an angry temper.
My friends…look at what has become of our land.
My God …what has become of Your Creation?

My life exists to serve my Lord.
May His blessings, be your blessings.

I See...

I see the writing on the wall and wonder whose pen it came from. I see the stars at night and wonder what worlds they support. I see the waves crashing on the beach and wonder what distant sands they bring. I see the pain and suffering all around and wonder when it will ever stop. I see the rich and famous and wonder if they’ve ever helped a needy soul. I see the powerful politicians and wonder what their true values are. I see the sick and homeless and wonder where is the cure and shelter. I see the country at war and wonder whose battle we are really in. I see the Gates of Heaven and wonder if I will ever get in. I see the depths of hell and wonder if the fire will ever be quenched. I see the beauty of this world and wonder why we have trashed it so. I see the eagle fly over my head and wonder what flight feels like. I see the expression on your face and wonder if you’ve ever really smiled. I see the wonder for the answers we all hold so dear. Can you see as I see? No, we all have our own interpretations of the sights we see. But in a world growing closer in common thought we can clearly see the same message. I can try…You can help…We will…Accomplish.

Yes there is a story to this picture but it is only known by me because I am the only one that knows the story of this picture….I will tell you the story…..but it’ll cost ya & we ain’t talking dollars but we are talking sense.
I’ll give you a hint….you are distracted & here’s why…this original post is from 2008, I edited it and added this picture which I took today 10/30/22.  So the picture is recent but the story is old.  ✨✝️πŸ•ŠπŸπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

The Ring

Sometimes in life the things you make with your own hand and mind are worth more than anything else you may have. They are original, one of a kind, irreplaceable and special in time.

Cherish these creations whatever they are. And remember that if you receive a one-of-a-kind gift by a dear friend or loved one you should treat it with respect as if it were your own creation. To have a creation that is numbered One of One should never perish but remembered always by its’ creator.

When I was in high school, I made two such items. One was a ring of silver and turquoise. It was oval with an inner oval inlay and a crucifix in the center.  The other was a pencil drawing of Led Zeppelin’s inside cover of their Stairway to Heaven album.

The ring was stolen from me several years later. But the design and its’ image I will always remember and maybe someday I will be able to recreate it. However, 45 years later, I still have the Stairway to Heaven drawing framed and, in my house, & it has a few of its own traveling stories to tell.

Do you have something made by your hand? Put it in a special place and thank the Lord for any and all your gifts, talents, blessings and good fortune. They are meant to be shared with others in the glory of the Creator.

May you have peace and understanding all thru your days.
