Don't Waste the Moment

I don't want this feeling to leave
I don't want to have my gut heave

I don't want this sky to cloud
I don't want to hide in a shroud

I don't want this mystery to not be solved
I don't want to have to be the only one involved

You don't want this better world
You don't want to release your sin and hurl

You don't want this show to go on
You don't want to have to move on
We don't want this confusion any more
We don't want to have to disappear into the shore

We don't want this all to pass away
We don't want to have to be forced to say

They don't want this world to perish
They don't want to have to start again with fish

They don't want this but there is no choice
They don't want to have to invoke a holy voice

I don't want this moment to be wasted
You don't want to live eternity being basted

I hear, see, smell, taste, feel, and sense for His Glory

Lamenting Our Troubles

Even though we may be surrounded by storms and other pains life often throws our way, it is a Great Day in the eyes of the promised.  Since today is Sunday and I often post on the soulful aspects of life on Sundays I have this to offer:  Consider the Book of Lamentations in the Old Testament.  It does not offer an author but Jeremiah has been argued as the author given it is the tale of the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in 587 B.C., a period of time that he was alive.  Lamentations is only five chapters and if you read Chapter 3 only, it will speak to you in the same ways Job does.  It starts out depressing, ends up Glorious, so stay with it.
As we witness the destructive force of nature over the next few days keep in mind that it is all part of a Greater Plan.  A plan we do not know the details of, but are assured of its ultimate outcome.  I pray for those in desperation, but please consider what Jeremiah witnessed as you reflect on your own troubles.  All the best my friend, stay safe and let the Lord guide your path, always and forever more.

A Sliver of Light

This early morning, I look and see a fading sliver of light, shrouded by clouds from nowhere near. Then the night light becomes clearer, a...
