An Open Heart
Go forth into your day with an open heart.
Do not wake with lustful desire,
But rather how best to do your part.
In this your glow will be as fire.
People will come into your world,
That will leave you asking why.
When this happens trust in the Word,
And it will be as clear as the sky.
Do not cast off your heartfelt dreams.
They are there to remind you of days gone by
When all else was a peaceful stream
And the last thing known was how to cry.
Be of good cheer and pure heart
And those around you will pay the price
Even at the end you can fashion a fresh start
Just put your faith in Jesus Christ.
