Are they tears of joy that moisten the plain
Or, are they tears from crying years of pain
Gentle roars and flashing lights in the sky
Gods' way of cleansing all the passers by
And after the rain you’ll know the reason why
The rainbow glistens in multicolors
Holding the promise of forgiven sins
Making all fresh and new forever again
I still hear your gentle voice
My heart gives no other choice
That familiar chitter chat sublime.
Keeps the beat going driving home the rhyme.
On the roof I hear the pitter pat
And then a flash and returning clap
The pictures rattle on the wall
As the rain continues its last fall
And after… the sky remains calm.
No wind bends the trees or leaves blowing
A light dew on the ground is showing
The aftermath of the skies tears falling
The rain speaks a soft dribble drabble call.
But with purpose and a special meaning
Leaving clean and a bright rainbow showing.
Genesis 9: 12-17. AMEN 🐝
