Release me Lord
From the chains of inequity
Release me Lord
From the sins of inequality
Release me Lord
From the bonds of slavery
Release me Lord
From the ignorance of bigotry
Release me Lord
From the pains of history
Release me Lord
From the darkened mystery
Release me Lord
From the dogs of war
Release me Lord
From the hungry and poor
Release me Lord
From the demons that blind
Release me Lord
From the heathens that hide
Release me Lord
From the frailties of my body
Release me Lord
From my mind often cloudy
Release me Lord
So my spirit can be free
Release me Lord
So it is You I can see
